a examination of personal space and intrusion
Based on the perception that every human being has an individual radius (personal space) in which he only tolerates a selected few other people, Reactive Cubes explores the intrusion in said space and tries to transfer the reactions onto simple machines. In order to accomplish this, the process gets stripped of all complex interpersonal relations and puts a focus on the resulting defensive reactions. In the final scenario the process is reduced to an agressor (distance), a reactor (sensor) and a reaction. 1. Retreat or spatial isolation in order regain a comfortable distance. 2. Verbal express of discomfort. 3. Occupy a defensive position and utilizing aggressive body language to disperse an intruder.
